March 2016 had given us the hint of extent of summer and April confirmed how rattling heat wave can be. As it is near impossible to avoid direct sun light for many of us, working men and women, we can avoid major heat wave attacks with smart steps.
- Air conditioners have become a necessity these days with growing menace of heat. Use air conditioners optimally so that you will not have to worry about external heat conditions and internal air conditions as you move back and forth. While you can start the AC with 21 degree Celsius initially you can always raise it to 25 in a span of 15 minutes and to 27 in an hour before settling the air after dehumidification at 29 degree Celsius. Places like Madhya Pradesh, Tamilnadu, coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh have seen rise in temperatures, so be smart enough to keep your surrounds extra cool.
- Coconut water, salt filled lemon water, and butter milk are the combination to watch out for; avoid soft drinks and ice cool milk shakes. If hard pressed for taste, Glucose is available with orange flavour.
- More fruits, more leafy vegetables, more water; less meat, less junk food, less juices with artificial flavours.
- Have good number of protein reserves to battle it out, especially add boiled eggs and fish with dal.
